My first experience with Codeigniter

Earlier, say 1.5 years back I have created a project in cakephp and my experience is good with CakePHP.Now when i try to create another project with cakePHP version 1.2 i am unable to do that. I unable to generate files from console it is giving me error regarding PHP that some of the functions are deprecated.

A way to delimit strings is the heredoc syntax: <<<. After this operator, an identifier is provided, then a newline. The string itself follows, and then the same identifier again to close the quotation.

In Codeigniter after login I am storing all the data into session and redirecting to some controller.But i am loosing all values in that controller and code redirect back to login page. I try every trick to debug this issue but fail!!!
